With the last few days of warm weather, the bass have made a major move to the shallows to spawn, and with the new flooded vegetation and cover this should be one of the best spawns in years. Most of the Bass we are catching right now are in 3 to 5 feet over the spawning flats. With a colder than usual March, April is lining up for for some great spawning action. Marvin Kauh from Houston  fished with me yesterday and today and we put 44 bass in the boat, and Marvin caught 3 over seven pounds and one  that weighed 7lbs.14oz. What a great two days of fishing, all these fish came on Brush hogs. This week we have also caught fish on a June bug Trick worm and a Watermelon Red senko fished wacky style. Good areas to try right now are Chaney Branch, Bell Branch, North West Bay,.Long Branch, Little Mustang, Leafy Branch, these creeks have bass moving on the beds and have been producing some big fish this week. Lake Fork has come up over 4 feet and is in the best shape I have seen it in a long time. With March being so cold we are going to see the spawn go into May, and with the lake almost full and all the new cover April, May, June, the fishing is going to be awesome!!
